David Morales is a Latin American trader, educator, and Deriv partner since 2021. Through his educational brand, DGFX, he shares his knowledge of financial markets and synthetic indices while building a community around learning and consistent effort.
His interest in trading began when a friend introduced him to synthetic indices. Their round-the-clock availability and sharp price movements caught his attention, motivating him to understand how these markets worked. As his knowledge developed, he began sharing his experience with others.
David’s approach brings together two interests: education and content creation. On his personal accounts he shares vlogs and everyday life. Through DGFX, he focuses on trading education. Together, these channels allow him to develop his business while staying connected to the things he enjoys.
Building that presence involved experimentation. After working with a marketing agency on paid advertising, David found that some of the people he attracted were not ready to commit to learning about trading. He shifted his focus to organic content. His early videos received just 100 or 200 views, but he continued posting, gradually reaching more people.
A Deriv event became a turning point. Inspired by sessions on content creation and AI, he put the ideas into practice and increased his output. He later hosted his own Deriv-sponsored event, which helped raise his brand’s profile, attract new students, and create content he could share afterwards.
Now a Deriv Platinum Partner, David places consistency at the centre of his work. His “two warriors” analogy describes the daily choice between taking action and putting things off. It reflects a lesson drawn from his own setbacks: habits and routine shape progress.
