How Oussama built Algo AutoTrade by pairing AI trading tools with trader education

Oussama joined Deriv in 2023 as an algorithmic trader and developer. Today, as founder of Algo AutoTrade, he runs a business built on a principle he learned along the way: a good trading tool without trader education is only half a solution.

His path started, like many algo traders', with weariness rather than ambition. He was tired of staring at charts all day and wanted to strip human emotion out of his own decision-making. That led him into MQL5 and Python, and eventually into building AI-assisted trading tools for a wider community, always paired with the short training courses he believes are just as important as the code itself.

Quick summary: What is Oussama's approach to AI-assisted trading?

  • The instrument: Synthetic indices, available 24/7, purely mathematical, and free of the unpredictable news spikes that affect forex. This lets his systems run continuous analysis and generate signals without the noise of global economic events.
  • The tool, not the trader: Oussama's AI does not execute trades. It analyses market data and hands the trader a signal, entry point, take-profit levels, stop loss, and risk level, while the trader stays in control of the decision.
  • The business model: Algo AutoTrade isn't just software. It's an ecosystem combining AI trading tools with short, practical training courses, because Oussama believes traders need both the technical means to analyse markets and the education to understand them.
  • The core belief: There is no magic button. Traders who succeed are the ones who learn risk management and market logic before they lean on automation.

From weary trader to developer: why synthetic indices

Oussama's programming journey began as a personal fix for an emotional problem. Watching charts all day and reacting on instinct wasn't working, so he taught himself MQL5 and Python to build systems that could trade without emotion getting in the way.

Synthetic indices were a natural fit for that goal. Unlike forex, they run around the clock and aren't disrupted by unscheduled news events,  which meant his systems could focus purely on technical analysis.

"Synthetic indices immediately caught my attention because they are available 24-7 and they are purely mathematical. There are no sudden predictable news spikes like in forex, and it's allowing my systems to run continuous analysis and generate accurate signals without the chaos of global economic news," says Oussama.

But as his tools matured, Oussama realised that code alone wasn't the whole answer. Traders using his systems still needed to understand the markets underneath them, and that realisation is what turned a developer into an educator.

Why Algo AutoTrade offers education alongside AI tools

When Oussama founded Algo AutoTrade, he had already watched enough traders struggle with the same emotional challenges he'd faced himself. He didn't want to just sell another piece of software into that struggle, as he says: "I didn't want to just sell software. I wanted to offer a complete ecosystem. I developed advanced AI tools for trading, but I also created short training programs, mini courses. I turned it into a business because I wanted to give traders both the technical [tools] to analyse the markets and the education to understand it."

That ecosystem approach also shaped how his AI tools themselves evolved. His early work was built on rigid MQL5 bots, strict if-this-then-that logic. Today, his tools function more like an intelligent assistant than an autopilot: "Today my focus is on advanced AI tools, but it's very important to clarify that my AI does not execute trades automatically. It acts as a highly intelligent assistant. It analyses massive amounts of market data and gives the user a precise signal, entry points, take profits, stop loss, and the risk level. So the trader stays in control."

The advice Oussama gives traders who want to automate

For traders curious about bots and automation but unsure where to start, Oussama's advice is deliberately unglamorous: slow down before you speed up.

"My first advice is do not look for a magic button. Start simple and focus on education first. Before using AI or automated bots, you must understand risk management. Learn the basics first, understand the logic behind the code, and always back-test on a demo account before risking real money."

That advice comes directly from the biggest obstacle he had to overcome as a business owner: managing expectations. Many new traders assumed AI would make them rich overnight, and Oussama had to talk many of them down from that idea one conversation at a time: "Many think AI will make them rich overnight, and my challenge was educating them, explaining that my AI tools are powerful decision-support systems, not a magic wand. I overcame this obstacle by launching my short educational courses, teaching the reality of risk management."

Building a community on transparency, not promises

Oussama credits the growth of his community to a simple refusal: he doesn't promise overnight wealth, and he doesn't hide the risk his clients are taking on.

"Transparency and education are the absolute keys to trust. I never promise overnight wealth, and I show them the real risk they are taking. By offering my AI tools alongside my short training courses, my community sees that I genuinely care about their success. When you provide tools that actually improve their daily decisions, trust grows naturally."

What the Deriv partnership has meant for his growth

For Oussama, the partnership with Deriv has delivered both a milestone moment and a practical foundation for his business to run on.

Attending the Deriv Top Partners Summit in Dubai stood out as a turning point, a chance to meet the Deriv team and other top-performing partners face-to-face. Day to day, though, it's the reliability of the ecosystem itself that matters most to his clients.

"Deriv provides a highly reliable ecosystem, very easy for my clients to apply what they learn in my courses and use my AI tools."

Looking back: what he'd tell himself at the start

Asked what he'd say to himself before any of this, before Dubai, before the business, before the community, Oussama doesn't hesitate. He wishes he'd invested in education sooner, instead of spending so much early time buried in rigid MQL5 code.

"I would tell myself to focus on education and dynamic AI tools much sooner. In the beginning, I spent too much time focusing only on the code and rigid bots in MQL5. I would tell my younger self that teaching people how to trade through short courses is just as important as writing a great algorithm."

His message to aspiring Deriv partners

Oussama's closing advice to partners hoping to follow a similar path is a direct extension of everything else he's built his business on: value first, commissions second.

"Focus on creating real value for your clients, not just chasing quick commissions. Build high-quality tools like AI indicators, but also take the time to educate your community. Share your knowledge through mini-courses or content. If you honestly help your community manage their risk, long-term success will follow naturally." - Oussama, Deriv Top Partner.
